Meanwhile, in Ohio…

This news story has been amusing my mother and I all day. I’m sure you can only imagine the emails and texts we’ve been sending each other about it.

It’s actually really tragic. Kept in captivity and then set free to be shot (some of them unnecessarily) a few meters from their cages. Nobody wants to live in Zanesville, Ohio—and particularly not Bengal tigers. I really hope this triggers a reevaluation of animal zoning laws in Ohio. Jesus. 
(Although I did laugh when I read that some of the monkeys were eaten by the lions. I bet they had been salivating over them for years.)
